Great kit, be sure to get the button magnet version!,
This review is from: [ 2019 New Version ] Upgraded & Lightweight Virtual Reality Headset with Stereo Headphone,Eye Protected HD Vr Headset with Remote Controller for 3D Movies and Games, (02) (Electronics)This is the 3rd Google Cardboad kit that I've purchased, and it's by far the best one. My biggest problem with them is usually that they are difficult to align, especially with larger phones or ones that aren't perfectly square. This one didn't have any issue with the phones I've tried (Note 5, Nexus 5, Galaxy S5).
*Easy to put together. It was confusing for about one minute (I didn't look at any of the web manuals it came with) but it clicked with me quickly.
*Strong material. It's not the thickest cardboard kit I've had, but it's very sturdy on
*Great lenses. I've had issues with the lenses not being perfectly aligned in other kits, which makes everything blurry and unusable. This one worked perfectly fine as long as your face was in all the right grooves
Magnet doesn't quite work all of the time. You have to quickly pull it all the way down and let it go up for it to register, which takes some getting used to. They have a newer... Read more

Rivals the Rift,
JG (Brooklyn, NY)
This review is from: [ 2019 New Version ] Upgraded & Lightweight Virtual Reality Headset with Stereo Headphone,Eye Protected HD Vr Headset with Remote Controller for 3D Movies and Games, (02) (Electronics)Samsung Galaxy S5 fites perfectly even with a case. I have an Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 and I must say this rivals it. I can't compare this particular cardboard to any of other brands as I've never used them, but I'm very happy with this. The company is fantastic to work with. The first package I received was missing the magnet component, but the seller immediately corrected the issue. I know this is the product review section but the manufacturer and distributor are the same. I would recommend reinforcing the cardboard with some tape (I used electrical since I bought the black version), and removing the rubber band... the phone stays securely in place and is much easier to remove without it. The frequent taking in and out to perform certain [necessary] functions eventually compromise the top of the cardboard, bending and creating creases but overall this is well worth the price. I'm having a great time experiencing what's available and also developing my own VR apps. I can't wait to see... Read more

Nice kit, good deal for the price,
This review is from: [ 2019 New Version ] Upgraded & Lightweight Virtual Reality Headset with Stereo Headphone,Eye Protected HD Vr Headset with Remote Controller for 3D Movies and Games, (02) (Electronics)For the price, this isn't a bad option for Google Cardboard but I don't have a lot of experience with other Cardboard kits either.
A few things to point out and/or suggest:
1) The 'included instructions' are pictographs and not printed all that clearly. It would be nice to have some written instructions that didn't point you to a video on the internet. Also, the printed numbering on the Cardboard kit itself seems out of order.
2) My kit only had a single piece of velcro for the strap to attach to. The strap had two pieces, but the Cardboard only had one. Fortunately, I keep some adhesive-backed velcro around for just such an occasion.
3) It would be a good idea to cut slots to allow for relief of the power and or volume buttons. My phone switched off the first time I tried to use the kit because the power button was being held down. I later cut a slot in the cardboard myself.
4) The lenses are not bad, but they're not great either. I... Read more
